2022 - Coaches: Mandatory Concussion Training
CONCUSSION TRAINING REQUIRED
Prior to October 23, 2022
Coaches, please email
to receive the background check invite. If you completed a background check for the 2021-2022 season you only need to complete concussion training for the 2022-2023 season. Please email concussion certificate to Jacquiepearson@yahoo.com if you are NOT completing a background check.
You will need your completed Concussion Training PDF to upload to complete your Background Check (see concussion training instructions below).
Coaches / volunteers / staff: please monitor your email inbox and SPAM for any additional requests from NCSI.
- In some cases an ID verficiation or Phone Call ID may be required. It is requested from the registrant via email if there is missing / conflicting data regarding their Name, Address, and Date of Birth history sourced by NCSI, compared to the information entered by teh registrant during registration.
- It is imperative that a full legal name (as stated on a valid driver's license, passport, or non-driver state ID) and correct date of birth are used during the screening process. The ID will help NCSI confirm that information has been submitted correctly and searches are conducted accurately.
2023-2023 Coaches Concussion Training Required prior to October 23, 2022
According to Colorado State Law, [SB40] all coaches are required to complete a mandatory training session on concussions. In order to coach for JPSports/GMAYBB this 2021/2022 season, this training needs to be completed by October 25th. Without proof of this training, your game schedule will not be released.
Please go to https://nfhslearn.com/courses/concussion-in-sports-2 to take the course "Concussion in Sports - What you need to know”. Once you have completed the course please save as a pdf. and then you will upload it during your background check process. This must be completed by October 23, 2022.
Step 2: Select the State Colorado and Click the box that says: Order Course
Step 3: If you are already a member with NFHS, then simply Sign In. Otherwise, you must click Register Here at the bottom of the box.
Step 4: For new users, complete the “Account Setup”
Step 5: After logging in or completing the new account setup, order a test for yourself and put it in your cart.
Step 6: Save the test.
Step 7: Begin the test. Do this online versus printing a version.
Step 8: Upon completion of the entire test, you will close the window to return to your homepage.
Step 9: Click on My Completed Courses.
Step 10: View the certificate.
Step 11: Save it as a PDF and upload it to your background check.
These steps will be emailed to all coaches to ensure you have the correct link.
NOTE:
If you completed a background check for the 2021-2022 season the background check is still valid. Please email completed concussion certifcate PDF to jacquiepearson@yahoo.com.
IF you ARE required to complete a background check for the 2022-2023 season please upload your concussion certicate in your background check.
